Process development

To maximize productivity strain optimization must be paired with process development.

We typically apply a Design of Experiment (DoE) approach to streamline optimization of multiple process variables simultaneously. The selection of parameters for optimization and the analysed ranges is driven by in-house expertise, product specific experience gained during strain development and, if applicable, assessment of related literature.

We also consider regulatory or scale-up related restraints during process development (e.g. absence of methanol, selection of raw materials).
